I kept this day free in my diary as i have been working hard of late. Too much work, not enough play.
I had plans to head up the the Lake District and walk/run a segment of the Bob Graham round. I also had thoughts about doing some low grade scrambling in Snowdonia. All of that went out of the window with the snow last night.
Things that surround you the closest you can sometimes neglect. I decided to head to the Longdendale trail for a nice and simple snowy run on the old railway line. Flat as a pancake terrain but good for a short sharp blast to blow away the cobwebs. Some lovely views, five minutes car journey from home and no sitting in traffic on the M6 or A55. The Peak District really has its gems.
