The last few days have seen a period of high pressure over central, northern England. A good antidote to winter and a wet spring season. This is when the Peak District national park really thrives, accessible to millions and with plenty of hubs of accommodation, services and facilities.
A quick video of Stanage Edge today.
I am taking a short break from running at the moment so i headed to Stanage edge above Hathersage in the Dark Peak. Sunny gritstone climbing in hot weather. Brilliant. How lucky were we. Families having picnics and walkers relaxing around High Neb enjoying the sun. The High Peak Hog was also been run today, an annual cycling event.
A good morning of enjoyable climbing in a wonderful setting.
