I have been losing the battle of work/life balance in the last few weeks. Too much thinking and not enough fun. I had a spare few hours available on Saturday evening after guiding clients so i headed into the hills for a wild camping evening.
The beauty of wild camping is that you are self sufficient and you are exposed to nature. You really appreciate the adventure once you return to your normal day to day life. Well, it was quite cool in the wind around Bleaklow in the Peak District last night. A clear sky and a slight wind made shelter and keeping warm a priority. Herbal teas, Green thai curry and posh fudge kept me warm. I even had my beer in the bottom of the clough getting cold. A good way to bring in British summer time.
A starry sky over a distance but bright Manchester made for a good opportunity to reset the work/life balance and refresh. Happy Mothers day to you lucky mum’s out there.
