Hills, mountains and sea on the Isle of Skye.
Join us on the west coast of Scotland for a range of walking amongst the scenic hills and mountains of the Isle of Skye.
Skye is a place of elemental forces, a land that man has barely scratched. From the gabbro and granite rock on the Cuillin ridge to the intimate sea of the Skye costal path and Skye trail. This Scottish island has a lot to offer for all abilities and aspirations.
We shall base ourselves in the south of the island around the Cuillin hills. The Sligachan hotel will be our meeting point each day. It provides a range of accommodation and hearty food and drink. This allows us the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of walking.
Walking each day will be between four to fifteen miles in distance. There will be hills to walk up and we will all discuss the route for the day in detail each morning before setting off.
If you are interested in joining myself on this short break then please call 07792008862 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to book.
Isle of Skye walking break is for two days. Other dates available on request. Contact Matt for available dates in 2017.
Price: £185 per person
Previous experience: None required
Length: Two days
Pre-requirements / Personal fitness:
You should be reasonably fit and able to cope with two consecutive days in the hills.
Swimming, running and hillwalking would be a good basis but i do not aim this break at the “super-fit.”
What accommodation and transport:
I do not include accommodation with this course. A useful website for accommodation ideas is http://www.skye.co.uk . The Three Chimneys Michelin star restaurant outside Dunvegan is a welcoming bad weather option.
What is included:
The fee includes guiding only. You will need to provide your own equipment and organise your own accommodation, food and drink. I will provide you with a full kit list as part of the notes when you book.
