Over the last few months i have been trying to keep the work/life balance in order. Not enough time in the day.
A few weeks ago i visited a friend in Newcastle. As fell runners do we spent six hours running around the remote College valley and then onto Cheviot around the England/Scottish border catching up whilst gasping for breath. Lovely views when the weather broke and great running terrain underfoot.
The last time i was on the Cheviot was eleven years ago when i completed the Pennine way in one sitting. It was good to be back.

Last weekend i headed up to Lake District to spend a day running with clients who were interested in learning more about fell running/off road running. We had a speedy and enjoyable run around Helvellyn and Fairfield. Once again we had the weather on our side. Though at this time of year a head torch is essential now. We nearly all got caught out. No excuses now. Put one in your bag.

Even though the weather is starting to turn, the colours of the hills and mountains more burnt, its now we can put the hard work in so we can relax in forthcoming months. It’s only mid October but you know i am referring to Christmas already.
Keep active folks.
