Sunshine, little cloud, a slight breeze and no midgets. This cannot be Stanage?
Yesterday afternoon me and Mr T headed over to the north end of Stanage to get some mileage in as we worked on building belays and rope work skills. Having a partner look at the belays you build and the consideration process in where your anchors should be is a good way of analysed. What is the potential problem? Why is it a problem? What are the consequences for yourself and the clients? What changes can be made? A second person, in this case myself, always come in handy for judging the thought process behind building belays and dangling off the end of a rope. All part of serving the apprenticeship.
